Learn notes on the fretboard using Voice Control operation. Hands-on practice makes for faster learning.

The app is initially setup for a six-string acoustic or electric guitar, but it can be configured for different number of strings, each tuned with a different root note and starting fret. This allows the app to be used for non-standard tuning as well as other instruments including bass guitar, ukulele, and 4 or 5 string banjo.

"Fretboard Practice" allows the musician to learn the location of each note on the fretboard. Operation of the app is by iOS Voice Control; operate the buttons by simply saying "Next" or "Back". Think of it as an automated deck of flashcards with each card listing a note and string to be played. When you play a note on the guitar the apps audio system displays the note struck and identifies if it is correct.

The set of note flashcards can be anything from a single string to all strings. The free version of the app is setup for a six-string acoustic or electric guitar with open strings tuned to E, A, D, G, B, E. The note to play is configured for all notes displayed in random sequence.

Fretboard Practice also has two separate premium features for $0.99 each that may be purchased once and do not expire:
(1) Note to Play Settings -- the musician can also choose whether the note cards (a) include sharps and flats or natural notes only, (b) are in order or shuffled, (c) are repeated, and (d) have the fret to play displayed.
(2) String Configurations -- the string setup can be changed to anything from 1 to 12 strings with any starting root note and root fret for each string. This allows the app to be used for non-standard tuning as well as other instruments including bass guitar, ukulele, and 4 or 5 string banjo.
